Westmead (2145) is a western suburb of Sydney, approximately 26 kilometres from the central business district. Part of the City of Parramatta, the suburb is best known for its hospital which is one of the city's major medical hubs. Westmead Hospital a major hospital in the Sydney West Area Health Service and a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney.
The suburb is accessible by buses, cars and railway (yellow Western railway line of the City Rail network).
