More Feng Shui
April 30th 2006 19:08
As promised, these are some more Feng Shui home design tips. The first set can be found here.
1. Choose a square or rectangular block of land.
2. The pathway from your door to the road should never be a straight line, however, it should be easily accessible from the road.
3. Only have one front door. No double doors or two front entrances.
4. Keep any hedges at the front of your home well trimmed and avoid obstructions near the front entry. Things to look out for are statues, water features, plants/shrubs/trees and rock gardens.
5. Use a ba-gua chart to determine the most harmonious placement of rooms.
6. High, well lit ceilings are favourable.
7. Avoid long corridors or tight, awkward spaces and congested spaces.
8. Use lighting and colours, but avoid either extremes of overly lit or dark spaces.
9. Keep your home clean and clutter free. Open spaces and cleanliness are considered good feng shui.
10. Use a feng shui consultant to help with the interior design of you home.
