Milsons Point

Milsons Point (2061) is a suburb situated next to Kirribilli on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, just a stone's throw away (3 kilometres) from the Central Business District.
Named after James Milson, who settled in the district in 1825, the suburb boasts picturesque views of the Sydney Harbour from the Northern side and is conveniently located to the railway station and a selection of eateries and shops.
The suburb is also home to the historical Luna Park Sydney amusement park - the city's only remaining premier theme park - and features entertaining rides such as Skylab Ferris Wheel, Flying Saucer, Wild Mouse and Spider, just to name a few.
The current residential property market in the area is dominated by luxury apartment complexes offering state-of-the-art living with stunning views of the Sydney Harbour and Harbour Bridge. These modern apartments are largely located on Lavender, Alfred and Glen streets with complexes named 'Latitude' (on Lavender) and The Colonades (Glen) some of the most sought after in the area.
Due to this high level of luxury apartment complexes, Milsons Point has a much higher median unit price ($792,500) for the 12 months leading up to December 2007 than the neighbouring Kirribilli ($573,500).
Take this luxury three-bedroom apartment on 30 Glen Street for instance. Boasting tranquil views of Lavender Bay and the harbour, the apartment features elegant marble bathrooms, a sleek and modern kitchen with European appliances which opens onto the living and dining area. The living room and both bedrooms all lead to the balcony and the building is serviced by 24 hour concierge. Price: $1,100,000 - $1,150,000.
