The rental situation in Sydney is approaching dire levels... there are so many people looking for properties and so few available spaces. Wealthier renters get properties by offering a higher price, leaving young workers and students out in the cold.

Mt. Druitt gets a bad rap - it's a suburb in Western Sydney, in the City of Blacktown, known for the large immigrant population and the community housing. I've never been there, and I'm not sure when I'd get the chance to go...

Still, with Sydney house prices the way they are, real estate in Mt. Druitt is still very, very affordable
